On June 28th, electrical service department of Chinese Railway Corporation Transport held railway mobile communication signal and train control technology seminar in Beijing. Communication signal experts from Ministry of science and technology, the appraisal center and the industry and Management Center of the headquarter, China Academy of Railway Science, Beijing Jiaotong University and other enterprises attended the seminar that was undertaken by Nanjing Ticom Technology Co., Ltd.
Before the exchanging meeting, Liu Zhaoying director of Department of Transportation Bureau of electric railway company, and Ma Fang, deputy director of Department of Transportation Bureau of electric railway company,met with Ji Rongxin, chairman of Nanjing Ticom Technology Co., Ltd, ThomasSchöpf , chief operating officer of Kapsch CarrierCom AG, Michel Clement, CEO of Kapsch GSM-R research and Development Center,and made exchanges for the research and standardization of the next generation mobile communication system in Europe and China Railway.
At the exchange meeting, Michael Mikulandra,technical expert of Kapsch made a detailed introduction to the European Railway System R & D project- Shift2Rail. The Shift2Rail project was launched in 2014 by the European Union and the European Railway Administration, with an investment of 450 million euros, and 5 sub projects:
1.Economical, efficient and reliable trains, including high- density trains and high- speed trains;
2.advanced traffic management and control system (communication signal system);
3. economical and efficient line infrastructure with high capacity ;
4.the attractive railway information and communication service;
5. new technologies used to support the sustainable development of the freight transport system.
The technical experts of Kapsch introduced the application of traffic management and control system (signal communication system).
Pierre Tane, technical expert of Kapsch and Wang Yunfeng, technology research and development director of Ticom Tech introduced the idea of applying the Shift2Rail project experience to the research and development of the next generation mobile communication system (LTE-R) of China Railway:
1.based on 3GPP architecture, the bearing column control system is based on packet switching.
2. the application of the train operation control based on the positioning of the Beidou satellite.
3. the standard of group call system based on the eMBMS and MCPTT in 3GPP
4.To improve the reliability of the system by using a ring network.
At the meeting, the experts discussed the signal control interface, the spectrum, the European standard and so on.
Finally, Ticom Tech and Kapsch signed an agreement on the joint development of next generation railway mobile communication system.
